The golf tournament raises money for the Starlight Children’s Foundation a Charity that focuses on brightening the lives of seriously ill children and their families Little Smarties Educational Toy store (www.littlesmarties.com) is a proud sponsor of this event and is an official “Hole Sponsor”. The festivities take place September 27, 2004 at Reynolds Plantation just 75 miles east of Atlanta. “Giving back to the community is very important to us and our customers. We especially favor those charities that work with children since that is our core customer.” said Sherri Connors CEO of Little Smarties. The Starlight Children's Foundation unique entertainment programs offer many opportunities for children to escape the drudgery of illness and the sometimes intimidating hospital atmosphere. A study of children who participated in a variety of Starlight programs indicates a decrease in drug demand during and after entertainment therapy.
